Accepting New Clients

Rachel Ferriter is a grounded, realistic, and deeply compassionate therapist who specializes in helping clients break free from anxiety, OCD, panic, and the overwhelming cycles that keep them stuck. Many people come to Rachel feeling disconnected from the life they want to live, constantly distracted by intrusive thoughts, compulsive routines, panic attacks, or mental spirals they can’t shut off. Rachel understands how exhausting it is to feel trapped inside your own mind, missing out on relationships, goals, joy, and a sense of peace.
Her passion lies in helping clients reclaim that lost time and reconnect with what matters most to them. Rachel’s approach is warm, encouraging, humorous when helpful, and always nonjudgmental. Clients often describe feeling surprisingly comfortable opening up to her, even when sharing the thoughts or behaviors they’ve kept hidden from everyone else.
Rachel is both gentle and direct, supporting her clients fully while also keeping them focused on the meaningful changes needed for healing. She helps clients move toward their values with clarity and confidence, cheering them on while also holding them accountable to the brave and difficult work required to reduce anxiety, interrupt compulsions, and break avoidance patterns. Whether someone is navigating OCD, panic, worry spirals, or major life transitions like breakups, divorce, relocation, fertility challenges, raising children, or caring for family members, Rachel offers guidance that is both deeply human and clinically effective.
Rachel draws on 14 years of experience treating adolescents and adults in outpatient, school, and residential settings. She has extensive training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety disorders and OCD, with a particular strength in helping clients change behavioral patterns, reduce avoidance, and build confidence in their ability to handle distress. Her long-term clients often share that the tools they learn with her continue to help them long after therapy ends.
Rachel’s passion for psychology began in her early teens when her family adopted her younger brother from Russia. Witnessing firsthand how genetics, early development, and attachment shape behavior, emotional regulation, and connection sparked a lifelong curiosity that continues to drive her work today.
Outside of the therapy room, Rachel is an avid equestrian and devoted pet parent. She has both personal and professional experience in equine-assisted therapy and understands how our relationships with animals, nature, and the world around us can be profound sources of healing. As a dressage rider herself, she especially enjoys helping riders and other athletes work through performance anxiety, fear, and mindset challenges so they can thrive in the pursuits that mean the most to them.
Rachel brings authenticity, skill, and heart into every session. She believes that people can learn to relate differently to their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and that with the right support, real change is entirely possible.
Rachel offers a free 15-minute online consultation so you can ask questions, get a feel for her style, and take the first step toward feeling more like yourself again.
